Use the ‘Outdoor Roof’ tool only for structures like:
*Pergolas
*Carports
*Al Fresco area
*Verandas
To avoid double-counting costs, do not include these outdoor areas in your main “New Build Measurement.” Measure them separately using this tool.
For Frame & Fixed Roof: This is a permanent structure designed to create a fully sheltered, dry outdoor room. It features a solid, impermeable roof that completely blocks sun, rain, snow, and other elements.
For Open Frame: This is a structure that provides partial shade and defines a space using an open framework of beams and rafters. It is designed to offer filtered light and some shelter while maintaining an open-air feel. It is not weatherproof.
If you have both open and closed out door roof areas, select ‘closed roof’ and halve the area of the open roof in you measurement.
